A Content Management System (CMS) is an online application that you access through your normal web browser (just like you are doing now to view this page). It allows you to control the content on your website without needing to know how web pages work. You simply type in the information that you want to appear on your website and the CMS takes care of the rest storing the information and publishing it on your website.

Below, we have put together a demo to show you how a CMS works. You can control the text that appears in the bottom left box of this webpage! Simply type in text below that you want to appear there and hit submit - your text will be formatted and published.
